09/07/07: News Update:

Thanks to Aceshigh for this:

http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.1142.Mutant_Massacre_Gallery - This article details the events that occured during the Morlock Massacre, and then looks at Mike Carey's views on the Marauders return. It also addresses his views on Gambit working with the Marauders, despite his past with them, noting that "For long-term readers, there's that added poignancy in seeing Gambit fighting alongside the Marauders again, in present time, because we know what happened the last time he threw in his lot with Sinister and the price he paid for dancing with the devil".

09/07/07: News Update:

Thanks to Lord Evan for this:

Another update from Mike Carey, answering questions on X-Men #200, Endangered Species and Messiah CompleX. 05/07/07: News Update:

Thanks to Avarice for these:

http://www.brokenfrontier.com/lowdown/details.php?id=936 - Mike Carey dicusses X-Men #200 from a writer's point of view, including his reactions to the Gambit splash page - "God, I love this splash. I love it to an indecent extent. The art direction just said something like 'He steps out into view. It's GAMBIT! Full body shot. Go to town…'"

http://uk.comics.ign.com/articles/800/800732p1.html - Carey on Messiah CompleX and the arc that spans X-Men #200 - 203.

29/06/07: News Update:

Thanks to Lord Evan for these.
"Oh. It would appear that Gambit has just hit #19 on IGN's comic power list. Ahead of Sinister (21) and Magneto (25), the X-men themselves hit #4. None of them were on the list previously."
And here is the link: http://uk.comics.ign.com/articles/800/800447p1.html

And thanks to Aceshigh for this link to a preview of X-Men #201, on sale 25th July. No sign of Gambit in the pages they show, but it's contains a glowing review of #200.

27/06/07: News Update:

HE'S BACK!!

That's right, today marks Gambit's return to comics with the release of X-Men #200. And things are looking very interesting. Edit: Not only is he appearing in this issue, but he also looks set to appear in Cable & Deadpool #42, also available this week, fulfilling Carey's hints that he would be in more than one comic this month.

Some articles for you:

Finally, here is the latest look for Gambit:

26/06/07: News Update:

Thank you once again to Lord Evan for bringing us this latest update from CBR and Mike Carey:
http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=10978

Of note is this line: "You'll notice from the Ramos cover that [Gambit's] look has reverted. Physically he has reverted to what he used to look like before he was Death. What his state of mind is will be revealed gradually between #200-207."

And this line: "They're not going to meet directly for quite some time. Gambit does come up against one member of the team but it's not Rogue. That meeting is going to be delayed and I hope it will be all the more powerful because of that delay. When it comes, it's going to be something pretty amazing."

17/06/07: News Update:

Thank you very much to Lord Evan for this very exiting, and possibly worrying bit of news concerning the cross-over that starts in October, Messiah CompleX, which heavily features Gambit.

Well folks, its time, with Endangered species hitting the press wednesday, and X-200 becoming the begining of the end. Word and images of the X-men crossover have finally appeared!
http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=116920

I must say I am quite proud to break this story XP

Edit: The second story I have found is more elightening...and disturbing...

>> Proud I may be, but happy I am not...

06/06/07: Site Update:

Added a poll to the front page and added a new poll results page to the site. These polls will start on the first of each month or there abouts and last for a month. The results will then be posted on the poll results page. If you want to suggest a poll topic, why not email me or head over to the forum.

04/06/07: Site Update:

Updated the Comic Appearances section with:
Ultimate Civil War Spider-Ham
Marvel Zombies: Dead Days (prequel)
What If? Deadly Genesis

Updated the 616 Allies/Enemies section, which although I thought I'd finished it I hadn't, to include 18 more people.

Updated the Women of Gambit section to include alternate universe women, including Age of Apocalypse and Ultimate.

31/05/07: Site Update:

After almost a year the Allies/Enemies is finished, pending further updates when Gambit comes back to the comics. It contains full biographies for 112 allies and enemies, including members of the X-Men, members of the Thieves Guild and people like Sabretooth and Mr Sinister.

However, having completed this I've come to realise that the section will not be complete without the Alternate Universe Allies/Enemies, which I have now added. Check back over the next few days to see this page start to take shape.

Also updated: Uniforms - with a new image of Death.

25/05/07: News Update:

13/05/07: Rumour Update:

Thanks to Lord Evan for this movie rumour update:

Well folks, I got big rumors surfaced about X-4 and gambit. Its from CBR:
The rumor that "Lost" actor Josh Holloway will be taking on the role of Gambit for a stint in Westchester has resurfaced at ShowBizSpy. "We had a meeting and they wanted me to play Gambit, the card dealer character," Holloway said. "They thought I'd be perfect for the part. We'll see." In 2005, Holloway took himself out of contention for the role.

20/04/07: News/Rumour Update

Thanks to Canemacar for this little tidbit. June is looking like a fantastic month for Gambit fans:
Carey just said that Gambit will be appearing in a second X-book this June when he returns. I'm thinking it's going to be Uncanny since there's that thing with Storm and the Morlocks going on there.

15/04/07: News Update

Thanks to Lord Evan for this news from Wizard magazine:
Apparently in Wizard magazine they posted the 10 major reasons to read X-men 200. Some we know, the others are very disturbing.

Here we go:

1. DEATH IN THE FAMILY. A member of Rogues team falls in the line of duty!
CAREY: "A call to arms, but arguably too late."

2. RETURN OF HEROES? Two prodigal X-Men burst back onto the scene - but whose side are they on?
CAREY: "Ever since I took over, I've been getting questions on one of these two characters. There will be some cries of joy when they come galloping over the horizon."

3. BETRAYAL FROM WITHIN. The X-men face the deadliest threat of all: one of their own!
CAREY: "There's something nasty going on thats not obvious at all and will carry on not being obvious even after the big reveal."

4. POWER OUTAGE. One of the X-men will lose their mutant abilities when they need them most!
CAREY: "Such a tragic beat, because of how it's done and who is responsible."

5. THE MARAUDERS RETURN. Among the X-men's deadliest foes, these villains already caused one "Mutant Massacre" - and the timing of their comeback couldn't be worse.
CAREY: "Who's in? Who's out? Don’t wait for someone else to buy the issue and tell you!"

6. TAKE THE CRAZY TRAIN. By issue's end, an X-man's mind may be too far gone to salvage.
CAREY: "The darkest aspect of the issue - and my run so far."

7. MALICE AFORETHOUGHT! The body possessing Marauder claims another X-man!
CAREY: "It's a slightly different Malice with a new method of breaking and entering."

8. X-RATED ENCOUNTER. Two members of the team get closer than ever in a decidedly adult fashion!
CAREY: "Wait until you see how this plays out."

9. THIS BUDS FOR YOU! An X-man - who's NOT named Wolverine - cracks open a cold one!
CAREY: "I'm allowed to do this right?"

10. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The Marauders get a familiar face as their new leader.
CAREY: "The most jaw dropping moment in the whole issue."
