This section includes spoilers for the current story arc, so if you haven't read that please be aware.

Exactly what happened after Remy joined Sinister is still unknown, but after some time he's returned and apparently working with the Marauders. Appearing on Providence after Rogue's X-Men team had defeated Hecatomb and left, Remy's appearance has been restored to it's pre-Death state, with some help from his "friends" and his accent has also come back, although Cable states that it's forced. He approaches Cable, who's in the process of setting Providence's self-destruct mechanism to destroy the island before saving as much information as he can, and states that although he doesn't want to fight, if Cable won't give him access to his computers then he'll do what it takes. He also makes a cryptic reference to time and "one minute before dawn".

His powers have also been restored, as he charges both a doll and his trademark playing cards in the ensuing battle, which involves Sunfire who also seems to be with the Marauders. They eventually corner Cable in the computer core of his island, which is where they wanted to be anyway, however Cable sets the self-destruct and destroys both himself and Providence to stop them getting hold of the information contained within, barely giving Remy and Sunfire a chance to escape.
