X-Men: The Animated Series

Biography

Brought into the Thieves by his brother Bobby Remy was later engaged to Belladonna, an Assassin, but fled both her and New Orleans when he realised that the fueding guilds would never let them wed. He still cared about his family enough to return to his home to save his brother from a crazy Belladonna, however after being drawn back into the fued he left once more vowing to never return.

It's unknown how or why he joined the X-Men, but he is clearly an integral part of the team, if a little headstrong and anti-authority on occasion. This brings him into conflict with Cyclops, Wolverine and Professor Xavier at times. It's also clear that he cares a great deal about Rogue, and the two of them are close to having a relationship despite the fact that they can't touch.

Much like his comic book counterpart Remy is able to kinetically charge any item and have it explode upon release. He also has good acrobatic and fighting skills to back this, as well as being an expert thief. His coat is full of cards and thieving tools, and he also carries an extendable bo staff.

X-Men: Evolution

Biography

Remy LeBeau was adopted for his powers by Jean-Luc LeBeau, leader of the Thieves and a less than loving parent. It is unknown when he was taken in, or when he later left his adopted family, but it is clear from his reactions to his adopted father that it was because of bad blood between them.

He became the leader of Magneto's Acolytes at some point and spent a fairly long amount of time with them, both clashing with the X-Men and acting as a go-between for Magneto and the Brotherhood. When the Acolytes and the X-Men worked together to try and stop Apocalypse he went with Wolverine and Sabretooth, who were trying to find Rogue, who under Mesmero's control had absorbed all of their powers and was trying to release Apocalypse. They ultimately failed to stop Apocalypse from being released.

Later Remy abducted Rogue outside of Bayville High and took her down to Louisiana. After some time he helf-convinced and half-conned her into helping him rescue his adopted father Jean-Luc from the Rippers. Uopn finding out that he hadn't told her the whole truth Rogue was somewhat upset but eventually helped and two of them resuced Jean-Luc and fought off the Rippers. After the fight Remy wanted Rogue to stay with him, but she returned to Bayville and the X-Men.

Since the apparent destruction of Magneto, and after saving his father, Gambit presumably remained in Louisiana although visions of the future experienced by Professor Xavier show that Remy may eventually join the X-Men.

Much like his comic book counterpart Remy is able to kinetically charge any item and have it explode either on release or with a slight delay. He also has good acrobatic and fighting skills to back this, as well as being an expert thief. His coat is full of cards and thieving tools, and he also carries an extendable bo staff.
