Significant Cards

Remy appears to have several signiture cards, each of which appears to have a meaning or a significance within his life:

Joker - The Joker is often the wild card, allowed to represent a range of existing cards within the game.

Remy has described himself as the Joker and used the card within the Revolution arc, where several team members are depicted as cards (Jean Grey as the Ace of Spades, Hank McCoy as the King of Spades, Ororo Monroe as the Queen of Spades, Nate Grey as the Jack of Spades and Remy as the Joker). His use of the Joker to describe himself may suggest that he is aware of his many roles both inside and outside of the X-Men.

Ace of Spades - The Ace of Spades is commonly thought of as the highest ranking card within a deck, and has also come to be known as the death card.

This is the card that Remy is seen using the most, and has become his unofficial trademark card. There are many reasons that this card is seen being used most, including Remy's past with the Morlock Massacre or the fact that he is using cards as weapons.

Queen of Hearts - This is the card that Remy gave to Rogue before the Trial in Antarctica and later had thrown at his feet when she left him there. It is now commonly seen to respresent her in Remy's eyes.

The Ace of Diamonds - This is the first card that Remy ever used as a weapon. The Ace of Diamonds could also be seen as representing Sinister.

The Jack of Hearts - This is the card that was used as the title of X-Men #81 when Rogue and Remy reunited to represent Remy.

The King of Hearts - The King of Hearts is known as the "Suicide King" because he has his sword behind his head, which is sort of like holding a gun to your head.

This is the card that Remy gave Rogue in X-Men: Evolution when he left her after "Cajun Spice".
